    That’s a beauty Scott.

Love this image Scott. Fantasic colors, composition! Really exceptional!

  3. This one represents a unique moment. I like the wide variation of similar pastel colors. Also the mirrored shapes and colors of the sky and the land. I also enjoyed your U.S. portfolio. It’s great that you specialize in mountains there. My father pioneer landscape photographer Philip Hyde called it “collecting mountains.” He was always driven on to find that new mountain range that he had not yet seen or photographed.

Russ, Rachel, and David, thanks for the kind comments. “Collecting mountains” I’d not heard/read that before, or don’t remember it. I like it! “Collecting landscapes” works for me, too.

I feel a similar drive to explore new places. Reading the words and viewing the images of Philip Hyde in college likely played a part in this inspiration (unwittingly, I’m sure, at the time). Its the experience of newness that satisfies my soul. But in the end, all those experiences are collected in one’s mind into fond memories. :-)
