Italy 1998

A land rich in history, culture, food, wine, and varied landscape

In 1998, I spent 10 days touring the country with friends. It was, literally, a wild ride filled with adventure and laughter. We covered a lot of ground, but I feel like we only saw snapshots of the people and places we visited due to the short time we had to spend. If you go to Italy, stay as long as you can. You will never run short of things to see and do.

Day 1: Arrival in Milan, travel to Bellagio and Sirmione

Day 2: Verona and Venice

Day 3: Venice and on to the Umbrian town of Spoletto

Day 4: Spelleto in Umbria and arrival in Rome

Day 5: How to see Rome in just one day

Day 6: On to Florence - I love Florence!

Day 7: The sights of Florence

Day 8: Sienne and Tuscany

Day 9: Travel to Pisa and the Cinque Terra 

Day 10: Only one day in the Cinque Terra? I'll be coming back here!
