Day 33 - Florence

This morning we grabbed a quick cappuccino and a pastry then got in line at the Uffizi. We gained admittance fairly quickly and were able to see what we wanted to see in several hours. You could easily spend several days in this vast museum. We had lunch in the Duomo Piazza before heading out to the Academia to see the Statue of David. Then we toured the huge, crowded market (watch your wallet here), and after considerable haggling, worked out a good deal on a nice leather jacket for my wife.

Then we spent a couple hours wandering around the greenery of the Boboli Gardens. Too bad we didn't get to see the famous Bachus statue on his turtle. He was being restored at the time.
